Lake Victoria Islands
Lake Victoria is the largest Lake in Africa and the chief reservoir of the White Nile. Its waters fill a shallow depression in the centre of the great plateau that stretches between the Western and Eastern Rift Valleys. The Lake rests between three countries namely Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.
It has about 84 secluded clusters of islands known as the Ssese Islands which have become the major source of tourism due to their exhilarating natural environs, exotic wildlife, flora and fauna. Regarded as Africa’s largest tropical lake, it is also boasted as the second largest fresh water lake in the world and the reservoir of the Nile River.
